Drones and AI Start Working
Compartilhar
On March 25th, a reporter from Sichuan Tianfu New Area learned that the combination of AI and drones has been put into action in the community governance and resident services. Drones conduct street patrols, deliver food, monitor fire hazards through cameras, and provide AI-based party building services. This new technology model has opened up a brand-new way for community governance and resident services.
Drones Delivering Goods
"Thanks to the 5G networked drones, we only need to set the flight routes on the platform and it will automatically conduct the patrols. It also carries advanced AI image recognition technology, which can analyze the captured images and video data in real time. Once it detects abnormal situations such as fire sources, the system will immediately send the relevant information to us. This not only ensures precise detection but also saves time," said a staff member from Sichuan Tianfu New Area.
This new member of the community governance team in Sichuan Tianfu New Area - the patrol drone - was upgraded based on the "Hubble One", a dedicated communication terminal for drones developed independently by China Mobile, and the "China Mobile Lingyun" management and operation platform for 5G networked drones. This AI + mobile networked drone system is applied in scenarios such as logistics smart transportation, urban smart inspection, and park smart governance.
"Previously, it took a whole day for street workers to conduct safety inspections in the community," said a staff member from Wan'an Street. "After the drones joined the team, we can obtain the inspection report of the entire community by simply clicking the mouse on the computer. This not only improves the inspection efficiency but also enables us to promptly identify hidden dangers that are not visible to the naked eye."
In addition to conducting street patrols, the drones in Wan'an Street also take on the role of deliverymen. At Qiyang Wan'an Jia Neng Station, through a set of DJI fully automatic airport 3 patrol drones and two sets of large logistics transportation drones deployed here, the drones can deliver coffee "from the sky" in just a few minutes. The process is simple and fast.
It is understood that this logistics drone operates within a 7-kilometer radius starting from Qiyang Wan'an Jia Neng Station and provides logistics delivery services. It can carry 2.7 kilograms of goods (coffee, emergency medicines, fresh vegetables, etc.). The online ordering system is under construction and is expected to be able to realize online ordering in October. Currently, Qiyang Wan'an Jia Neng Station is preparing to build a low-altitude economy operation center and establish a flight club. Combined with the 300 mu of ecological agricultural land around the station, it aims to create new scenarios for drone application such as training, exchange, test flights, and competitions, explore new models for community service in low-altitude economy, and provide assistance for AI building a smart city in Wan'an Street.
