Yahya Sarea, the spokesman of the Houthi armed group in Yemen, said on the 13th that the group shot down a US MQ-9 drone on the same day.
In a video statement aired on Al-Masirah TV, which is controlled by the Houthi armed group, Sarea said on the 13th that the US drone was shot down by a surface-to-air missile of the Houthi armed group while it was flying over the Hajjah region in the northwest of Yemen on that day. This is the fourth time that the Houthi armed group has shot down a drone of this model within two weeks.
The health department of the Houthi armed group issued a statement on the 13th, stating that the US military launched three raids on a factory in the western suburbs of Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, on the same day, resulting in the death of at least five people and injuring more than a dozen others. According to the media controlled by the Houthi armed group, the US military launched a total of 25 attacks on multiple locations in Yemen on that day.
The US side has not yet responded to this.
Sarea also said that the Houthi armed group launched two ballistic missiles towards Israel on the same day. The first missile targeted a military base in central Israel, and the second missile targeted Ben-Gurion Airport in Israel. The Houthi armed group also launched a drone attack on an important target in the Ashkelon area of Israel.
Earlier on the same day, Israel claimed to have intercepted a missile launched by the Houthi armed group in Yemen.
The United States began a large-scale air strike against the Houthi armed group in Yemen on March 15, and the Houthi armed group subsequently launched strikes against a US aircraft carrier and its accompanying ships.
